Drawings are only a promise. On many projects we stay through the build so what gets made is what was agreed.

Some spaces need looking after once they are finished. We manage buildings and communities we have designed.
Solutions
We listen, we draw, we build.
Two phases and an honest conversation before either of them. The first is design: the conversation, the land, the concept, the drawings, the permits. The second is construction, and how far we go into it varies by project, we agree that before a single line is drawn, because it changes the cost and the timeline.
Latest Projects
Intersectional Art Museum
A museum is the hardest test of the method: a building that has to hold other people's work, other people's histories, and a public that arrives under no obligation to stay. The site is still being chosen; we are designing for three of them at once.
Mairel's Bookshop & Co.
A closed fried-chicken unit in a commercial plaza, turned into a space people came to call theirs. Nothing in it was fixed.

Condition
We begin our work by understanding the physical and cultural context of a place. It is not simply about the materials we use, but about the relationship between the land and the people who inhabit it. Our practice is rooted in the honesty of architectural form and the quiet power of spatial presence.
Lens 01
People
Who the space is for, how they will move through it, and whether they will feel it belongs to them. This comes before the program and before the drawing.
Lens 02
Land
Orientation, climate, water, trees, topography. What the site is asking for, and what should be left exactly as it is.
Lens 03
Culture
Local craft, material tradition, public life. Why a space belongs here and would make no sense anywhere else.
